If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, navigating a significant life transition, dealing with the pain of grief or loss, or struggling in your relationships, you’re not alone. Everyone's story is complex, and it can be hard to make sense of it all. Therapy offers a place where you can find understanding, relief, and a way forward, and I’m here to help you do just that.
I bring a diverse background to my practice, with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Seminary, and certifications in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Prepare/Enrich. My professional background includes work in a variety of ministry contexts. Some of these include campus ministry, church settings, and youth programs, which has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by those in such environments. I specialize in working with individuals who are currently or have previously been in ministry, as well as adult women, teens, and premarital couples.
I love supporting women dealing with issues related to anxiety, depression, perfectionism, trauma, and women’s health issues such as infertility, pregnancy and postpartum. Using EMDR, a highly effective therapeutic approach designed to help people heal from traumatic experiences, we can work to process and reframe difficult memories, reduce emotional distress, and restore balance. This method is particularly beneficial for those who feel stuck, whether due to past trauma, ongoing anxiety, or other overwhelming experiences.
In my practice, I take an attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and interpersonal approach. I strive to create a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and valued, and where we can work together to make sense of your story. My aim is to help you understand and process through grief, loss, life transitions, and relational difficulties, so you can find relief and begin to move forward.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me cooking up something new in the kitchen, digging in my garden, staying active, or working on a puzzle.
Together, we’ll work to uncover the root of your struggles, build resilience, and move towards greater clarity and well-being. If you’re ready to take that first step toward change, I’m here to support you. Reach out today to start the conversation.
